SEAI’s deep retrofit grant covers fabric upgrades and includes the installation of heat pumps, solar panels, heat recovery ventilation systems, insulation and air tightness measures.
The grant is available for houses built before 2006.
SEAI provides funding of up to 50% of the total cost of upgrades for non-fuel poor homes and up to 95% for fuel poor homes.
Fuel-poor refers to homeowners in receipt of domiciliary care allowance, fuel allowance, jobseekers allowance, family income supplement or one-parent family payment.
Non-fuel poor are those homeowners, who do not fall within these categories.

An SEAI Heat Pump Grant is available to all home owners. The grant is available for houses built before 2010.
The value of the grant is €3,500 per household.
